A City You Feel Safe In

Gangs from Toronto are moving into Barrie. It needs to stop. There is no acceptable level of violent crime in a community, and you shouldn’t have to worry about your car getting broken into while you’re sleeping.  As a community, we need to work hard at addressing the core issues affecting vulnerable individuals. 

What Alex will do:
  • Increase resources for police so that they can address high harm areas.
  • Work with the school board to use its recreational facilities to serve the community after hours, giving youth a safe and constructive environment to grow up in.
  • Demand value for money from Simcoe County to ensure there is adequate diversion from police services to mental health and addiction services.
